Reports To: Registered Nurse Clinical Nursing Supervisor
Primary Responsibility: Supports resident care needs by performing delegated patient care and non-resident care tasks. Responsible for assisting care team in the treatment and care of residents in accordance with established policies and procedures.
- Provide professional, quality care to residents following their individual care plan to meet their daily care need.
- Maintain a clean and healthy environment.
- Communicates resident concerns regarding their health / mental health with skilled staff in a timely manner.
- Administer medications, as set up by Skilled Nursing staff, as directed. Ensuring that all medications are given following the 5 Rights of Medication Administration: Right Time, Right Drug, Right Dose, Right Route, Right Time. Document medication administration timely in RTasks Electronic Charting System.
- Document all cares provided in a timely manner into RTasks Electronic Charting System.
- Communicates with Residents, Families, and other Lange Home Team members in a profession manner.
- Monitor, manage, and document on all resident behaviors. Provide a therapeutic intervention when required by following their specific care plan.
- Administrative duties include, but are not limited to, maintain the ethical and confidentiality standards set for by Langes & HIPPA.
- Assist kitchen staff as needed with serving meals / kitchen clean-up.
- Attend education as scheduled and required.
- Work every other weekend
Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must have personal care training program and competency test. (Provided by employer)
- Previous experience in nursing or other medical fields preferred
- Ability to build rapport with patients
- Compassionate and caring demeanor
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- High School Diploma or GED
- Clear DHS Background Study
- Ability to multi-task
- Ability to communicate in a respectful and understanding manner with co-workers and our residents
Reports To: Head Cook
Primary Responsibility: Schedule and Manage Resident Meals (3 meals daily and 2 snacks per day)
- Prepare the meal(s) you are scheduled to provide for residents following all policy and procedures set forth by Langes.
- Provide specialized dietary items as listed on RTasks Electronic Charting System and in the kitchen reference binder.
- Serve meals.
- Ensure all food and other items are cooked and stored properly per facility and policy procedures.
- Monitor and stock food items and update Head Cook as needed.
- Monitor all freezer and cooler temperatures every shift.
- Ensure the kitchen and food storage areas are clean and organized.
- Delegate tasks to Kitchen Assistant as needed.
- Part Time Fill in Cook (hours determined based on need)
Qualifications
- Have 1 year cooking experience in an Assisted Living Nursing Home or Restaurant setting
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Ability to build rapport with patients
- Compassionate and caring demeanor
- Adequate written and verbal communication skills
- High School Diploma or GED
- Clear DHS Background Study
- Ability to multi-task
- Ability to communicate in a respectful and understanding manner with co-workers and our residents
Reports To: Head Cook
Primary Responsibility: Assist with preparing, serving, and cleaning at all meal times
- Receive delegated tasks / direction from the cook daily.
- Set tables with all needed dinnerware, condiments, and dessert for that meal as directed by the cook.
- Assist with meal prep as directed by the cook.
- Assist cook with serving all residents the prepared meal.
- Wash dishes after meals and snack time.
- Clean / clear tables and counters.
- Clean cooler, stove, oven, and shelving as needed / as directed by cook and as time allows.
- Assist with 3p.m. coffee / snack time.
- Pack lunches for the residents that will be off site during meal times.
- Restock kitchen as needed.
- Have kitchen clean / tidy by end of shift.
- Fill salt, pepper, sugar, and napkin dispensers.
